Bay Mobile and Melita recently reached an agreement on a special offer for Bay Mobile clients to switch over to Melita Mobile, effectively closing down Bay Mobile’s operations in early July. Bay Mobile subscribers are being encouraged to switch to Melita Mobile as the best priced alternative before the 4th July cut off date, when Bay Mobile will cease offering mobile services.
Simon De Cesare CEO of Bay Mobile stated, “We have agreed to partner up with Melita Mobile to support our customers because we have negotiated the best deal and value for money to offer all the Bay subscribers who choose to switch to Melita Mobile. This includes:
- The option of a FREE 3G handset of their choice from a vast selection of the latest 3G handset models
- A FREE month of mobile usage including calls, video calls and messaging to all local networks and free mobile internet access
- After the free month is up, they will continue to enjoy the cheapest call rate of just 10c per call for the entire duration of all your calls to all Melita Mobile and Melita fixed line numbers up to April 2010.
- In addition they will enjoy the benefits of topping up their mobile credit without any time-window restrictions.
- All customers will be able to keep their same mobile number when transferring to Melita.
“Leaving the mobile business allows the Eden Leisure Group to return to focus on areas that remain our core competence, within the leisure industry in St. George’s Bay and not to have to focus on relentlessly fighting off the competition from the large operators who have deep pockets and massive marketing resources. All Bay Mobile employees will be keeping jobs within The Eden Leisure Group.”
